Frequently Asked Questions
When do I receive my official certification card?
You will receive your official American Heart Association BLS Provider eCard via email on the very same day you successfully complete the course. There are no paper cards to wait on in the mail; your digital credential can be downloaded, printed, or verified online immediately by your employer or school.
What is the difference between Initial and Renewal?
The Renewal course (~2.5 hours) is for currently certified or recently expired healthcare providers who are already familiar with the foundational material. The Initial course (~3.5 hours) provides comprehensive instruction, additional guided practice, and is recommended for first-time students or those needing a full, thorough review.
Do you provide continuing education (CE/CEU) credits?
Yes. Hours and credit redemption vary depending on what you do. Dental Providers, EMT's, Paramedics, Physicians, Physical Therapy can receive continuing education contact hours upon course completion.
What should I wear to class?
Wear comfortable clothing suitable for moving around and performing CPR chest compressions on the floor or training tables. Scrubs or athletic wear with closed-toe shoes are ideal.
